A Bleeding Hemorrhoid Can Be a Real Big Pain in Your Rear - Quickly Stop the Pain

A bleeding hemorrhoid is very common for millions of people. The first action to take when you have this problem and you discover that there is blood when using the bathroom is not to panic. Far too often people panic and this does absolutely nothing in helping you deal with this problem and getting it solved. Remain calm and know that this will not last very long if treated properly.

Some useful and helpful tips when dealing with this pain is to try ointments and creams that are located in the drugstore. Although these creams don't necessarily work for everybody you can give it a try if there is no other options for you. Some people prefer to let this problem heal on its own while others seek medical attention right away. Seeing a doctor is highly suggested if you do think you have a bleeding hemorrhoid. Many people get misdiagnosed when it comes to hemorrhoids when really all they might have is a tear in the anal wall called an anal fissure. If you have an itchy or burning feeling then this might be what you have.

To help with the pain quickly associated with this problem a few things tips are

1. Try not pushing too hard when using the bathroom. Pushing puts extreme pressure on the lower part of the intestines. This can add to bleeding and pain.

2. Drink lots of water as drinking lots of water can help bowel movements from being difficult.

3. Try to avoiding coffee and caffeine products as this can also affect stool hardness and also lead to constipation.

4. Using Vaseline and applying it to your rear can help lubricate and moisturize the skin near the anal opening. This is a great little tip to use because it can help ease bathroom breaks and make them less painful.

Using these four basic tips to help you to some degree if you have a bleeding hemorrhoid. Remember that panicking and stressing out about this problem will do very little in the efforts of solving it.

Suffering from this problem is nothing new to myself as well. For long time it seemed like I was going to the doctor every month. Do you feel the safe way? Ointments and creams did very little to help with this problem which made dealing with it very frustrating. That was until I found a product called H-Miracle. This is a great program that helps Heal Bleeding Hemorrhoids. If you're having swelling or great deal of pain then this product might be what you are looking for.

How to Treat a Common Cold

Prevention of a cold includes adequate sleep and a well balanced diet that reinforces the immune system. A low fat, high fibre diet, full of fresh fruit and vegetables is recommended. Supplementation may help reduce severity and length of infection.

Treatment of cold and flu includes adequate fluids (hot kinds, except for milk, are best), which helps to sustain the losses that occur with a fever and evaporation from breathing through your mouth. Liquids may include drinks such as Chicory or Dandelion coffee (start with a very weak cup 1st and gradually increase the strength of this and the frequency of the drinks), Immuni-tea, Red Raspberry tea, Chamomile and other tonic teas. Tepid to warm water with or without lemon juice added is also a good choice. Consume only simple foods. Avoid sugar, breads, tea, coffee, meat or junk food. The best things to have would be vegetable broths or soups (carrots, onion, parsley, potato etc), vegetable juices (carrots, parsley, celery), steamed vegetables, or a baked potato. Fruit is acceptable, but not citrus, except for lemons.

You can have small quantifies of fruit juice; two 150ml servings per day maximum (no citrus juices, except lemon). This needs to be diluted 50/50 with water.

Natural medicine works fantastically for colds and flu. Echinacea acts as a natural antibiotic and immune system stimulant. It is ideal for upper respiratory problems and problems relating to the glands, such as tonsillitis and laryngitis. We have liquid Echinacea in Cold Relief or Triplex, which has 3 different varieties of Echinacea, as well as Relief lozenges.

If you have a cough or bronchial infection, take Mullein. Mullein is particularly good for coughing at night time and is a central nervous system relaxant. We also have Relief cough mixture for children, a very powerful cough syrup.

Vitamin C - 500mg every hour till bowel motions become looser. Do this except in cases where a lot of mucous exists, as it may exacerbate mucous production.

If you suffer with repetitive colds and flu you should take a course of Astraforte. This is a deep immune tonic that helps rebuild the immune system. It is best not taken while sick but as an ideal tonic for a pre-winter immune system boost.

For the relief of sore throat use the intensive dosage of Relief, take White Willow Bark capsules or gargle with Sage tea. Allow Relief liquid to trickle down your throat. Alternatively you can use Relief Lozenge's. For a cough we recommend Relief cough syrup. This is an effective cough mixture and this comes in both an adult and child formula.

Other nutrients include Zinc, which if taken at the first sign of infection will avoid or shorten the duration of a cold. Unsaturated fatty acids reduce the incidence and duration of colds. Vitamin B6 helps in the production of antibodies that defend the body against infection. However you should not take any single B vitamin on its own, as this can cause a depletion in the other B vitamins. So take a B complex. Vitamin A is necessary to maintain the health of mucous membranes of the respiratory passages. Some people have found that taking vitamin D has helped in the prevention of colds.

Nutritional and Herbal support includes:

Advanced Antioxidant Formula - Supplies all the antioxidants for immune modulation.

Bio Attack - A potent anti-viral, anti-bacterial herbal formula, containing olive leaf and garlic.

Emphysemol - A liquid herbal tonic specifically for congestion, lung problems, phlegm and for immune support.

Sambucol Immune - Elderberry extract. An excellent viral herb. Great for tonsillitis.

Zinc - An important mineral needed for correct immune functioning.

Eutherol - Fabulous antiseptic formula. Perfect for treating and soothing sore throats, colds and sinus problems. Delicious and may be used frequently to shorten infection time.

Some interesting points on the Common Cold:

Keep the body heated by using hot pungent herbs, like ginger, horseradish, and fenugreek. These warm the body, increase digestion, reduce congestion (breeding ground for infections) and enhance the nutrient absorption of foods.

Children with frequent colds or flu may need to be checked for thyroid problems.

Maintain intake of fluids, sip hot liquids such as chicken soup or vegetables broths.

At the first sign of a cold, use an Echinacea liquid extract (Ideal Health stocks a full range) to boost your immune system and keep the virus from multiplying. Take your multivitamin twice a day.

Remain as active as possible. Moving around helps to loosen mucus and stimulates the lymphatic system which is responsible for some of your immunity. This does not mean strenuous exercise such as running - this would further weaken your body.

It is unlikely that a vaccine will ever be developed to prevent the common cold because the viruses responsible have the ability to change in size and shape, and have hundreds of different forms.

Heartburn Home Remedies - Tell Me How to Make it Go Away!

You just want to go away fast! That painful burning sensation that is welling up from your stomach into your lower chest, if it would just go away. You know you shouldn't have eaten such a big meal but it was so good. To late, now what should you do about it. For many people who suffer from Heartburn these are familiar words and all they want is a Heartburn home remedy.

Almost half of the population have Heartburn and want a Heartburn home remedy at one time or another and in one form or another and for some it's almost daily occurrence. It is caused when stomach acids and other contents flow back, or reflux into the esophagus. Unlike the stomach that has mucus producing lining to stop the irritation of acid and in some cases ulceration, the esophagus does not. This is why burning sensation occurs. The gate or valve between the stomach and esophagus does not close properly after each mouthful of food is swallowed allowing the acid from the stomach to go up in the esophagus. In cases of pregnancy with the added intra-abdominal pressure, it tends to force the stomach fluids up in the esophagus, so 6 or 7 smaller meals are recommended

A Heartburn home remedy can be simply be a few simple lifestyle changes. The simplest would be to adopt a low fat diet and include a balance of protein, starches and high fiber rich vegetables and fruit. Coffee including decaffeinated brands produces high acid production. Teas, colas, and other caffeine drinks should be cut down or avoided. There has been no evidence that spicy foods cause indigestion with the exception of red and black pepper but if your suspect your discomfort occurs after a spicy meal you should avoid them.

Heartburn home remedy's include the use of nonprescription antacids to neutralize or suppress stomach acid. Try not to eat at least 2 hours before bedtime, and try not bending over and keep your back straight. Smoking does not help as it relaxes the muscular sphincter between the esophagus and stomach. Alcohol doesn't help so limit your intake.

Simple Hemorrhoid Treatment at Home

Although hemorrhoids are a subject that most people don't feel comfortable talking about, they are a very real and pervasive problem. Countless people suffer from this ailment that not only causes the obvious embarrassment, but sometimes pain, itching, and bleeding.

When in an advanced stage, hemorrhoids can rob the victim of much of their enjoyment of life. And left unchecked, hemorrhoids can progress to the point that serious complications can result, such as from surgical treatment. Fortunately, there are some steps you can take to provide a bit of hemorrhoid relief in the comfort of your own home.

The simplest and most direct way of reducing hemorrhoid symptoms concerns your bathroom habits. Excessive time spent on the toilet, as well as strain during defecation, can greatly contribute to hemorrhoids. Make a point of not going to the bathroom until you really have to go. This can help minimize the time spent in the bathroom.

Diarrhea and especially constipation can create much strain during bowel movements, thereby aggravating one's hemorrhoids. If you suffer from either of these conditions, the cause is most likely to be found in your diet. We all know that we should reduce our intake of fatty processed foods, and eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables, fiber, and whole grains. This is true for everyone, but it becomes especially important if you suffer from hemorrhoids.

Many people don't drink enough water either. It's important to be well hydrated in order to maintain optimal water levels in your intestinal tract. While some people disagree with the often quoted figure of eight glasses a day, that's an approximate figure to shoot for. Because consuming alcoholic, carbonated, or caffeinated beverages actually causes your body to lose water, you should drink more water to offset that effect.

Eating a proper diet while maintaining adequate hydration will greatly help your digestive system. And that means that your food will be easy to digest and eliminate. With less time spent straining on the toilet, your body will be better able to heal any hemorrhoids you may have, while new ones will be less likely to appear. This is an effective means of hemorrhoid treatment, but unfortunately, the reality is that most people aren't willing to make significant changes to their diet.

If that is the case, there are some other simple things to try. One is exercise. As with a proper diet, the benefits of regular exercise are well known. For hemorrhoid sufferers, exercise is even more important, as it aids in digestion and elimination.

If you aren't currently a very active person, even mild or moderate exercise can make a difference, and this doesn't need to cost any money. If nothing else, you always have the option of taking a brisk 30-minute walk a few days a week.

Other possibilities for simple hemorrhoid treatment include using over-the-counter creams to reduce itching, soaking in a warm bath, quitting smoking, and maintaining a healthy body weight. When you're in need of a treatment you can perform at home, any of these methods can be effective.

Best Cure For Nail Fungus

After suffering from nail fungus for almost six months, I can tell you that it is quite difficult to remove. Over the past few months, I have tried several remedies.

There are prescription drugs available to treat nail fungus. But I have to tell you that it has severe side effects. And most of the drugs don't offer permanent cures. The cure is only temporary.

But there is hope. Nail Fungus can be treated naturally. If your fungus is not severe, then you can try the following natural methods:

Vinegar Footbaths - Soaking your feet in water mixed with Vinegar at a ratio of 2:1. Adding Listerine or tea tree oil to the football can also help. But I have found it quite ineffective for severe fungus.

Vicks Vaporub is another popular home remedy for nail fungus. Vicks Vaporub is most famous for treating common cold but only a few people really know about its effectiveness against funga; growth. It works for mild fungal infections that have lasted only a week or a two. You can try it out.

Hot water Footbath - Add salt to a tub filled with hot water. Soak your feet in the tub for 20 minutes. Do it every day. It works for minor infections.

Scrubbing your nails with pebbles is also effective. It does not treat the fungus but works in restoring the original color of your nails.

But there is an anti fungal solution for treating severe nail fungus. The anti fungal solution called ZetaClear. ZetaClear has various natural ingredients like Tea Tree Oil, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Lemongrass oil, Clove oil, etc.

Wellness - It Begins at Home

Wellness is defined as "health or striving toward it as a goal." As a society something has gone awry in our methods of striving for wellness. Perhaps we simply have taken for granted that wellness will always be our fortune. The facts are that

* 60% of the population of North America is overweight
* 30% of the population of North America is obese
* Diabetes is reaching epidemic proportions
* chronic illness due to overweight conditions is rapidly on the rise
* 75% of all health care dollars in the U.S.A. are spent on managing chronic illness
* health care premiums are rising at an unaffordable rate and will continue to do so unless things change

First and foremost, there is an urgent need to educate and inform people about the importance of eating with nourishment in mind rather than just to satisfy the palate. Also, today's hurried lifestyle combined with the fact that both parents in many households are working away from home has resulted in poor or no meal planning. The result is that the consumption of fast foods and processed meals has become the norm for most meals which means that people are consuming too much fat, sodium and refined carbohydrates.

It is not necessary to go on a "diet" to eat well. All one really needs to do is follow the guidelines such as the USDA Food Guide Pyramid or the Canada Food Guide. It is important to have 6-10 servings of fruits and vegetables(depending on your age and category), 6-8 grain products(preferably whole grain), 2-3 milk or milk alternatives and 2-3 meat or meat alternatives, daily to maintain the proper balance of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients.

One of the biggest mistakes made today is that thirst is often mistaken for hunger and we reach for food when we are really in need of hydration. Drinking water before a meal can also help prevent overeating at the meal.

A second great mistake made is skipping breakfast which is perhaps the most important meal of the day. Even though we may not feel hungry, we must remember that the body has fasted all night and is in need of nourishment.

Understanding proper portion sizes is also vitally important. In this day of super sizing meals, our perception of a normal portion size is grossly exaggerated.

It is very important to eat slowly and chew our food well. This serves two purposes -

1. When we eat slowly, we give the body a chance to register that it is feeling full before we overeat. When we eat quickly, we overeat before the body gets a chance to register that it is satisfied, but by that time we've consumed a few mouthfuls too many.
2. When we chew our food well it is much easier for the body to digest it.

People often make the mistake of starving themselves when they diet thinking that they are sure to lose weight because they are consuming fewer calories. The mistake in that way of thinking is that depriving the body of food puts the body into a preservation mode which triggers it to want to store fat. Not eating also causes a slow down in the body's metabolism which will result in fewer calories burned.

The solution is to eat enough and to eat well. Drink plenty of water every day. Eat three smaller meals a day with two healthy snack times in between, rather than three larger meals. This not only prevents over eating at a meal but it also keeps the metabolism up throughout the day. As much as possible eat natural and whole foods. Drink tea (minus the sugar and milk for full antioxidant value) in place of sweetened juices and soft drinks. Keep a daily journal of all the things you eat everyday. When you write things down, you tend to be more aware of all you are eating, especially during the snack times. Always sit down to eat - it is easy to disregard the foods we pick at while we are standing. Last, but not least, never eat after 7:30 p.m. The body will not be in a position to use calories for energy when it is in a resting mode.

Habits are difficult to break and sometimes small changes at a time are more effective than radical change. For greater success, replace an old habit with a new habit . For example, if you were in the habit of having an evening snack while watching television, either change the snack to a glass of water or a cup of tea, or change the activity from watching television to taking a short walk. If we make the thoughtful intention to be well, wellness will be attainable.
